It's been a while.....

It's been a while since I posted. I keep saying, I am going to keep this up! Let's see if it happens...
Right now I am doing a Holiday Swap with 10 other ladies from all over the country. I am so excited! We just completed an October Swap -it was super fun. I will post some of the goodies I sent and received. I also need to post some words I had made for Connor's room. I am doing business with a talented girl who can make your ideas into vinyl clings....it is amazing! I have more projects for her - so many ideas -so little money :)
Here are some of the items from the October swap:
Happy Crafting!!!

Decor Elements and the girl's room

I LOVE the new Decor Elements from Stampin Up!! They are fantastic! Here are 2 pictures of what I did in my girl's room -
The "C" is in Brown and the "E" is in white. They are just fabulous. They were so easy to put up and I think they look great. Now to get the rest of the room looking so good LOL
You can click on the link to the right to see all the great pieces from this collection. I have a couple more but haven't found just the right place for them...yet!
Have a crafty day!

Great idea!!!

I was surfing blogs - I should have been working -and came across this fabulous idea!!!!
Everythingpink blog had a great "You can do it kit" idea. I know our kiddos have big state tests coming up in April. I thought these kits were just terrific. I called the other room mom and said -let's do it! So we are. I am drafting my letter to solicit donations from parents. I am going to see if Whole Foods will part with some salad bar containers. Otherwise, I will get Big Daddy to pick some up for me from work. His deli's are clear but they will have the same idea.
I will take pics as we assemble. But I had to post so my crafty friends can get inspired.
Now to come up with other kits.....the wheels are grinding....

Easter Crafting

I haven't posted in a while, and I moved my scrapping and stamping to a new blog! I am glad to be back in the crafting swing of things. I missed checking in with all of you gals!

We had a good weekend crafting! We decorated our easter eggs. I blow the eggs so we can keep them from year to year. I love decorated easter eggs! From simple dyes to elaborate decorations. I think they are so colorful and unique!

We also did some scrapbook and stamping. The girls and I made these candy bar covers. They gave them out as treats. The paper star was just for fun. I use to make these great polish stars, they were seriously complicated but beautiful! I will have to find that pattern again and try those again.

We also cleaned and organized the dungeon (Basement). It is now our crafting haven. This picture doesn't show it very well, but we have different tables set up, put up some lights, hung sheets on the framing. We are going to put the kid's art work on the sheets. Hey -it works for now. One day Big Daddy will actually get the basement finished for me - or not. It is functional, that is all that matters!

I put our Disney pics in a quick album for my folks. I plan on scrapping our pictures. I also want to put some cute pics of mom with 2 of the monkeys in some cute frame. That is on the list for this week.

The question of the week: For which holiday do you do the most crafts?
Probably Christmas. We make cards, gift tags, and wrapping paper. We also try to make creative gifts for cousins (20 of them). We did glass ornaments, decopage letters (initials) and picture frames this year. We really like to craft for every holiday. But I think we do the most for Christmas.

My To Dos: Finish planning my next SU workshop. Gifts for the cheerleaders, the cute Disney frame for my mom. Oh yeah, start the teacher's EOY class scrapbooks - wow that is a long list!

YAY! My Stamping blog is here!!!!

I wanted to set up a Stamping blog to put my crafty creations on to share!
I did some crafting - stamping this weekend. I will take some pics and get them posted.
I have my first REAL Stampin' UP GNO this Friday. I am trying to keep it casual and fun. I am hoping to make it to $150.00. I just don't know that many crafty people!!
Where do you find crafters? I don't want to approach strangers to sell them stuff. That is not my style. I guess I will keep my eyes out and see how it goes.
Look for pics in my next post!
