I also have to say these are just the toppers. I have to go down to my mom's house to quilt them since she has a fancy shmancy long arm quilting machine.<br /><br />You will also have to excuse my temporary sewing/craft room. The basement is not finished yet and I am using the dining room still. Oh, one day that basement will be done! LOL<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipKxI5nJMTL-KnhC0esvd3_vxYt80C3mm1GSXkfzqHyuhAfKpC3jPMD02JaNsHeH-25pNNDHxnRGIH-0Z0RCaZ0Hec8BQct1erj_W11mjbsKIgoReOX6n9WbM06zuW9zFcdzmRyZjgYns/s1600-h/IMG_7288.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipKxI5nJMTL-KnhC0esvd3_vxYt80C3mm1GSXkfzqHyuhAfKpC3jPMD02JaNsHeH-25pNNDHxnRGIH-0Z0RCaZ0Hec8BQct1erj_W11mjbsKIgoReOX6n9WbM06zuW9zFcdzmRyZjgYns/s320/IMG_7288.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427832590816868258" border="0" /></a><br />The Quilt Top - before we decided to add the flower applique. So, my new crafting obsession? Quilting!!! Well, I guess I should say - I have quilted before - when I was in college. BUT this is different!! I have discovered the modern quilt movement! So far, I have made 2 modern style quilt tops, 1 more traditional style -ready to be quilted and for my grandma. I also am in the process of making a cool wall hanging and learning some new techniques. I will post pics and details soon!!<br />XOXOStamp, Craft, Sew, Repeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07786128979558925967noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248136244085201417.post-23562359985789359642009-02-16T09:22:00.000-08:002009-02-16T09:29:22.741-08:00Valentines Day Treat Boxes<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKlg4mUx4xSh_mpC4wrzY5hnu6VqqBkg0RRnLrllpeQPwpleihpcu_3bVPM6mOkPbFJ-2xp3YXOHTH2kwoKlanTFV56mm7tQqqZx1OupNdpNev7zfhFfjLqx0dBzuk3jatUdPQLl2l8S0/s1600-h/IMG_5857+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKlg4mUx4xSh_mpC4wrzY5hnu6VqqBkg0RRnLrllpeQPwpleihpcu_3bVPM6mOkPbFJ-2xp3YXOHTH2kwoKlanTFV56mm7tQqqZx1OupNdpNev7zfhFfjLqx0dBzuk3jatUdPQLl2l8S0/s320/IMG_5857+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303447487268495410" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij4Je9cRQ1iFVTaZsc9pGKX3Fubw_Z_oiilfjBGu7v5ROsL_XuOUAznAjqchkCbtyig3hyhs-pPPufjshnYPnjZlw9kUphGYSh1uF6SoPCmz9b2_sbG8zPe-d4OXBOrPFa3curS8tt2yo/s1600-h/IMG_5855+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij4Je9cRQ1iFVTaZsc9pGKX3Fubw_Z_oiilfjBGu7v5ROsL_XuOUAznAjqchkCbtyig3hyhs-pPPufjshnYPnjZlw9kUphGYSh1uF6SoPCmz9b2_sbG8zPe-d4OXBOrPFa3curS8tt2yo/s320/IMG_5855+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303447420227069234" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTphj62aZG1po5rAEm2FwVigFaY4SuHDMcT-msCrB7oF4ARYGW_lYwchchpYbjAiluPc9eDE6dhwUIBX15M8V73f01xU5O0Zbul8zj2xZRn-NYStlQJ90OoRnhqU6HVO2wWJwLXgrDzVs/s1600-h/IMG_5853+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 214px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTphj62aZG1po5rAEm2FwVigFaY4SuHDMcT-msCrB7oF4ARYGW_lYwchchpYbjAiluPc9eDE6dhwUIBX15M8V73f01xU5O0Zbul8zj2xZRn-NYStlQJ90OoRnhqU6HVO2wWJwLXgrDzVs/s320/IMG_5853+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303447335216957010" border="0" /></a><br /><br />This is my favorite Holiday but as my normal chaos would have it - we were over booked this week. We did find time to make chocolate covered strawberries and marshmallows. We also made these adorable chinese take out boxes! They hold about 18 kisses - but since I had to make 64 boxes -we only put in 10 kisses per box. Next time I will make the tags cuter but the I think the kids did a great job on these!<br /><br />This is the<a href="http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Background-Basics.pdf"> pattern</a> I used for the boxes. I keep saying, I am going to keep this up! Let's see if it happens...<br />Right now I am doing a Holiday Swap with 10 other ladies from all over the country. I am so excited! I know our kiddos have big state tests coming up in April. I thought these kits were just terrific. I called the other room mom and said -let's do it! So we are. I am drafting my letter to solicit donations from parents. I am going to see if Whole Foods will part with some salad bar containers. Otherwise, I will get Big Daddy to pick some up for me from work. His deli's are clear but they will have the same idea.<br />I will take pics as we assemble. But I had to post so my crafty friends can get inspired.<br />Now to come up with other kits.....the wheels are grinding....Stamp, Craft, Sew, Repeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07786128979558925967noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248136244085201417.post-82156022733589455122008-03-24T10:56:00.000-07:002008-03-24T11:22:02.496-07:00Easter CraftingI haven't posted in a while, and I moved my scrapping and stamping to a new blog! I am glad to be back in the crafting swing of things. I missed checking in with all of you gals!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJw0skYBgZQoG-XFqMzydE98HyiR7PKsZmlQYK6TaDlYQlvtUUS8fjYvZnK8LI1F0jWK2E8ROQum4T401QR1QE3szzHNwjkOZ2U1T3zSWhX2TJ2PVZzIExu8o70zck2MER72jpO4npoNg/s1600-h/IMG_2624+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJw0skYBgZQoG-XFqMzydE98HyiR7PKsZmlQYK6TaDlYQlvtUUS8fjYvZnK8LI1F0jWK2E8ROQum4T401QR1QE3szzHNwjkOZ2U1T3zSWhX2TJ2PVZzIExu8o70zck2MER72jpO4npoNg/s320/IMG_2624+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181371548672436530" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsRdillCXTmsonMsezN6vmnhqu5lnBff5kTiVlwZpphTszaBKESpu2IGD44Md3a9kxTyEEs_51OKFtEPANFYgpq6vCDk0GEmA76xNR_AxyOeWTRBkZ59CtxbvqeSS3xTIhyphenhyphenvf16Sx_RS0/s1600-h/IMG_2600+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsRdillCXTmsonMsezN6vmnhqu5lnBff5kTiVlwZpphTszaBKESpu2IGD44Md3a9kxTyEEs_51OKFtEPANFYgpq6vCDk0GEmA76xNR_AxyOeWTRBkZ59CtxbvqeSS3xTIhyphenhyphenvf16Sx_RS0/s320/IMG_2600+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181370818527996194" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxhitccLCDcsMW8VjB4sE3XoYzgbsJAB6WrvEyMZtUMT1paAVcn1Uy_tpscb-VPMiJaNyOBm3W-wENQLlMf_oJOsG9YqJMrt4bKQ6daQ-Lmo1a3sLPr8hJX2iFu_SQTNt6xZ_5C2qqli8/s1600-h/IMG_2626+%28Small%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxhitccLCDcsMW8VjB4sE3XoYzgbsJAB6WrvEyMZtUMT1paAVcn1Uy_tpscb-VPMiJaNyOBm3W-wENQLlMf_oJOsG9YqJMrt4bKQ6daQ-Lmo1a3sLPr8hJX2iFu_SQTNt6xZ_5C2qqli8/s320/IMG_2626+%28Small%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181370638139369746" border="0" /></a><br />We had a good weekend crafting! We decorated our easter eggs. I blow the eggs so we can keep them from year to year. I love decorated easter eggs! From simple dyes to elaborate decorations. I think they are so colorful and unique!<br /><br />We also did some scrapbook and stamping. The girls and I made these candy bar covers. They gave them out as treats. The paper star was just for fun. I use to make these great polish stars, they were seriously complicated but beautiful! I will have to find that pattern again and try those again.<br /><br />We also cleaned and organized the dungeon (Basement). It is now our crafting haven. This picture doesn't show it very well, but we have different tables set up, put up some lights, hung sheets on the framing. We are going to put the kid's art work on the sheets. Hey -it works for now. One day Big Daddy will actually get the basement finished for me - or not. It is functional, that is all that matters!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZqhFAe4nGQMoKaGR7F120G1O0GKVv4HiwIeXFIuOoLXin5e2n4985i49H9b5y6IOg5k9Sw-lc4A78Dstg7kXut7MPO96SnIZPUYowNW3Sz4tA-9EnuwiCUB2r2kWIp6emrhR6I967dpw/s1600-h/IMG_2606+%28WinCE%29.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZqhFAe4nGQMoKaGR7F120G1O0GKVv4HiwIeXFIuOoLXin5e2n4985i49H9b5y6IOg5k9Sw-lc4A78Dstg7kXut7MPO96SnIZPUYowNW3Sz4tA-9EnuwiCUB2r2kWIp6emrhR6I967dpw/s320/IMG_2606+%28WinCE%29.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181373219414714706" border="0" /></a><br />I put our Disney pics in a quick album for my folks. I plan on scrapping our pictures. I also want to put some cute pics of mom with 2 of the monkeys in some cute frame. That is on the list for this week.<br /><br />The question of the week: For which holiday do you do the most crafts?<br />Probably Christmas. We make cards, gift tags, and wrapping paper. We also try to make creative gifts for cousins (20 of them). We did glass ornaments, decopage letters (initials) and picture frames this year. We really like to craft for every holiday. But I think we do the most for Christmas.<br /><br />My To Dos: Finish planning my next SU workshop. Gifts for the cheerleaders, the cute Disney frame for my mom. Oh yeah, start the teacher's EOY class scrapbooks - wow that is a long list!Stamp, Craft, Sew, Repeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07786128979558925967noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4248136244085201417.post-49459291924088206402008-03-18T08:27:00.000-07:002008-03-18T08:36:47.872-07:00YAY! I will take some pics and get them posted.<br />I have my first REAL Stampin' UP GNO this Friday. I am trying to keep it casual and fun. I am hoping to make it to $150.00. I just don't know that many crafty people!!<br />Where do you find crafters? I don't want to approach strangers to sell them stuff. That is not my style. I guess I will keep my eyes out and see how it goes.<br />Look for pics in my next post!Stamp, Craft, Sew, Repeathttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07786128979558925967noreply@blogger.com0
